English Summer

The next few days prepare to be overloaded with excessive ammounts of photos, including me, nature and some animals...

This was when I spent a week in the countryside at my Grandads house, it involved almost everything an English Summer should be; 99 icecreams, rain, walks through the countryside, canal boats, picnics, WW2 songs, straw boaters, picking fresh fruit and pub lunches.

Slo berries
The weeping tree, wasn't intentional but when the faces was put in, wax appeared under the eyes.

My grandad has the most amazing garden and house ever, there is the most adorable stream running right through the middle.

Menorca 2010

Ok, so Menorca was definatly an amazing holiday; I haven't been on a relaxing holiday like that for years, so it was really good. I took a lot more pictures but I don't want to have to spam you with boring family pictures, so this is all you have got. Me and my outfits! Also at the moment I am trying to read some new books, so if anyone knows any good ones please tell me, I'm not fussy. Oh, and you guys are awesome!!! ♥

An outfit post finally,, so my school has broke up and summer is here. Horrahh!! I have lots planned, like on Wednesday I'm going to the beach and sometime in the middle of August I am going to Menorca, which should be good. Anyway if it's sunny when I go to the beach I'm thinking of wearing my maxi dress- any thoughts? I bought it the other week from Topshop, after trying on about 50 other maxi dresses. Most of them didn't look good, so my tip is to try them on and don't just go and buy one. Although in the pictures it looks a bit like a curtain, it does look better in real life; the big flowers are a change from the small floral patterns I usually wear. The bottom photo I took the other day, at about 11 o'clock at night. I love the way the sky looks in the photo, a gorgeous deep blue. XX

Summer 2010

Most of you have already finished for summer (so jealous!!) but for me it's another 9 days (yes, I'm counting), of school! So I have compromised a list to help me prepare for summer of everything that I want to do this year. Because then I won't forget anything and then a took a photo of it, with some of the things that I like at the moment. I think if you click on it, it will enlarge, but apart from that, I might type it up later? Anyway of to watch Mary Queen of Shops- you have to watch this program, it's sooo funny. XX

My 2010 summer wardrobe essentials

The basics of my summer wardrobe:
  • 2 floaty dresses,
  • a playsuit,
  • 3 plain vests,
  • wedges,
  • 4 pairs of sunglasses (I can never have enough),
  • And of course a straw boater but me being me, when I carried them all to the tree I wore it on my head, then forgot to put it on the tree.
What I still need:
  • A pair of ripped denim shorts.
And here is my tree, which is where I find all my clothes, I go to bed and when I wake up it's covered in clothes!! Haha jk.

Lovely, Lacy Lantern

Last night I went out for a meal at Pizza Express to celebrate my fabulous friend, Megan’s birthday. I really enjoyed it, however when I arrived I realized there were several teachers from my school eating in the same restaurant. But fortunately there was a table of cute guys at the other end of the restaurant so we just spent our time gawping at them. Here’s a photo of what I wore and have I mentioned I just love the dress. It’s really random- a purple, lace, lantern dress; it can be worn backwards as well and I also have a picture of that. Because I was experimenting - I would never have the guts to wear it with the shirt as well it’s a little to odd for my liking. I paired it with the shirt as I feared it was too wintery and wanted to try and make it a bit summery.

Flowery skirt- Spring is nearly here

A couple of weeks ago I was a little bored so decided to make a skirt with some random floral fabric in my cub-board. It was actually reallly easy to make I just sewed it onto some elastic, then added a few buttons and voila. Now that it is nearly Spring, it's definatly the perfect time to start wearing it especially with all the flowers popping up every where. It's only one more season till summer and I can not wait. Thought I would share with you one of my cheap shopping secrets, so in the photo you can see me wear a few badges - I got them on a website called free cycle. All I did was got my dad to leave a post saying Wanted: random beads, buttons and badges; and a lady saw it and sent me loads of really old and cool stuff. For free! Yes, by now you will have gathered I like a good bargain.

Pretty edgy if I say so myself

I was reading a magazine today which said that a trend for this spring and summer is pretty edgy. And well to be honest it just made me feel confused arn't they total opposites of each other. If you put them together how on earth would they compliment each other; it just goes against human nature. I was genuinely intrigued and so I decided to make use of this gorgeous weather and have a go trying to capture this trend on camera. And well I was wrong, they do work well together, it made me think, loads of strange stuff work together; peanut butter and marshmallow fluff, black and white, chillies and chocolate...
So the dress and tights I think are pretty and the waistcoat and heels are a bit edgy, the Alice in Wonderland look wasn't intensional I'm doing that photo shoot next week, however it will look fairly simular as I'm wearing the same dress but at a more interesting location.

Individuality

Every day I wear jeans, a T-shirt and a hoodie; and well to be honest I am getting bored of it all. I try to wear something different but I just can’t be bothered, so from now on I am going to do a non-boring month. I will walk down the high street in my tartan hat and not care how many weird looks I get, because well I think I take to much in to other peoples opinions and it’s me that’s actually wearing the clothes not them.
Anyhow I found this amazing website www.operationbeautiful.com and I’m now going to post post-it notes all around my school. I really think the cleaners will appreciate them; that site is guaranteed to make your day, it made mine. Went to see Alice in Wonderland yestereday, was pretty good and inspired me, I'm going to do an Alice in Wonderland inspired photoshoot. Well, the weather better be this good tomorrow, its like a sunny summers day (yes I know its March but don't break my happy mood). X

A random collage I made a few weeks ago.
