Inside mums wardrobe: Scarves

I haven't done one of these in a while so I thought I would; I was looking though the cupboard when a came across a bag of them. A bag full of 30 year old scarves, some weren't that nice but there were a few lovely ones. Two of the scarves pictured are cotton but one is silk; also yesterday I found loads of awesome fabric which during the holidays I shall make into; a blazer; 3 dresses; a skirt and a play suit. Course work day tomorow- Horrahh!! X

Inside mums wardrobe- Jewellery box

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments they mean a lot to me because it means I'm not talking to myself! Also please follow me so far its just the lonely group of me and 13 others :)
So today after asking my mum if she had anything cool in her possession, she thought then we ended up spending a while searching through the loft and cupboards. In the end we came across this rather boring jewelery box, that was filled with rubbish and lots of amazing things. I took some pictures of the beautiful, cute, ugly and strange things I found. X

  1. Inside the box there are two draws and a mirror.
  2. Just a random collection of some of the cool stuff, the pins are so cute and a mini spanner?
  3. These are what I have 'borrowed' to stay in my room.
  4. Only a few of the massive earrings in there, I think they were is fashion?
  5. Close-ups of some of the pins and there were 4 watches in there some were hideous but some were nice.

It just shows don't just a book by its cover, or in this case, don't judge the contents by its box.

Inside mums wardrobe- Brown leather bags

Although my mums wardrobe is not full of amazing designer clothes and accessories; it has a fair amount of gorgeous pieces in it. Most of it is also fairly old, I wouldn't call it vintage but some stuff is 30 years old, like these bags. Some would say I'm quite lucky, to have a mum who is a magpie and keeps a lot of her old clothes and well I guess I am. These two bags I found last week, they were ones that my mum used to use everyday when she was younger, so they are fairly battered. Both haven't been used in 20 years, have adjustable straps which I think is pretty cool and are real leather. I have used the first one, nearly every day since I found it.
Is anyone watching the election tonight? I am, this will involve staying up until I fall asleep, probably 11.30; I need my sleep. X

Inside mums wardrobe- Silver charm bracelet

This lovely charm bracelet is my mums, it used to belong to her Auntie and is roughly 50 years old. It is really amazing, each charm is so detailed and unique. The charms include: scissors, keys, a mirror saying good luck, a bucket with a wine glass in, a spiders web, a bell, a post box and more. Each charm was individually soldiered on and some even move- as you can see in my poor attempt at a gif. Also when looking in my mums wardrobe, I came across two delightful brown leather bags; I will post them next week. X

Inside mums wardrobe- Culottes

Looking through the fabric box I found what I thought to be a big sheet of cream fabric; perfect for my pillow in textiles. A bit later I realised it wasn't just a sheet of fabric, it was some kind of skirt, trouser thing that my mum had made. She later informed me that they were called culottes and when she had made them in 1989, they were in fashion. Fashion really confuses me, what had gone on; I could fit 5 of me in one leg. But I couldn't resist to try it on and surprisingly it fit, so I got my brother to take some pictures, for you all to laugh at. X
