Individual style
I got quite creative today, I took some pictures; baked some cakes and attempted to make some earrings. I also found this rather awesome book called More dash than cash by Kate Hogg, it is my mums and was published in 1982. But I just love the pictures and the helpful tips on how to look stylish on any budget. I have only read a few pages so far but it is really good, it talks a lot about tweed and having an individual style. This is a fairly long quote from it that I rather liked ' Style is part of a personality and, like every other trait, is unique to each person. Everybody has a style, just as everybody has some sense of humour; what counts is whether it is an original and true style; whether it comes naturally and feels right. It is like an instinctive sixth sense to make the best of yourself.' I try to make my style as individual as possible, but sometimes those attempts fail. I used to be stuck in Abercrombie and Fitch hoodies with jeans; however since I started this blog I have tryed to stay out of them. Because that isn't what I would call unique; everyone one at my school dresses like that. I wish I was more original with my outfits and clothes but I just don't have the confidence; although one day I hope to find it. Sorry, that was a rather long ramble. X

It is hard to be different and find your inner confidence. I often struggle with that. Just think, all those people just look like silly clones, and you're not one of them :)
I totally understand where you're coming from.
Lately, I've tried to be more "daring" with my outfits. Whether it's adding prints on prints or socks with sandals.
Many times, people look at me with weird faces, but you know what? I actually like that. It means I am able to pull off something they never imagined would be possible.
So just go around trying to find your style. I'm sure you will, and when you do, you'll get many more stares than anyone else (:

It's taken me a long while but I too have started building my own style. It's difficult, having to stop my self from buying clothes that aren't "me" or to keep my outifts consistent, but it's fun and I want people to see a dress or necklace and go "that's so A."
BTW I like your teapots! I bought about three new ones for a tea party I had last weekend. Hope to see more.
